Benny Butler Jr., 70 of Cotton Plant, died Monday, January 9 at Central Arkansas Veterans Hospital in Little Rock.

Benny was born November 21, 1946 in Cotton Plant, Arkansas to Benny Butler Sr. and Mary Childress-Butler.

Benny attended school at the Cotton Plant school system. He was a 1964 graduate of Cotton Plant Vocational High School.

Benny served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged from 1966 until 1972.

Benny was employed as a Truck Driver for Richland Express in Brinkley for several years.

His parents, three children and a brother, Jimmy Childress all preceded Benny in death.

Survivors are: his wife Julia Butler of Chicago, Ill; a son Jerry (Mary) Worsham of Searcy, AR; Quinessa Vickie Miller of Chicago, Ill; Denise Graham of Augusta, AR; and Beneva (Bret) Socerall of New York, NY; seven grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Per the family's request, there will be no Visitation or Funeral Services

A public memorial service will be held and announced at a later date.
