Clyde Motton Sr.
Clyde Motton Sr., 86 of Chicago, Illinois, formerly of Cotton Plant, died Monday, December 5 at Advocate Christ Hospital in Chicago.
Clyde was born June 30, 1930 in Howell, Arkansas to Lige Motton and Mae Liza Brown.
Clyde was a longtime employee U.S. Steel in Chicago for many years before he retired.
Clyde was formerly married to the late Willie B. Glass Motton. She preceded him in death in 1992.
Survivors are his wife Veronica Motton of Chicago, Ill; five sons: Lloyd Glass of North Little Rock, AR; Clyde (Lenora) Motton Jr., and Joe Motton both of San Diego, CA; Lindsey Motton and John Motton both of Lafayette, IN; five daughters: Vera Motton and Mary Motton both of Houston, TX; Ruth Motton Johnson of San Diego, CA; Avon Gillum of Little Rock, AR; and Jackie Motton Hatchett of North Little Rock, AR; five brothers: William (Delores) Motton Nathaniel (Earsey) Motton and Jerry Motton all of Chicago, Ill; Buddy Motton of Elgin, Ill; and Wardell Motton of Parkin, AR; three sisters: Jerry Motton, Mildred McKenzie and Mae Ella Motton all of Chicago, Ill; forty-one grandchildren, fifty-six great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
