Guss Williams, 60 of Jacksonville, formerly of Carlisle, died Wednesday, January 11 at North Metro Medical Center in Jacksonville.
Guss was born January 21, 1956 in Hickory Plains, Arkansas to Clifton Williams and Creamola Bradley-Williams.
Guss was currently a member of New Zion Temple Church in Jacksonville, Arkansas under the Leadership of Scott Waterman for four years, where he was a faithful member.
Guss received his education from the De Arc Public School System in Des Arc, Arkansas. He was a member of the Des Arc High School class of 1976.
“Gusto,” or “Guss Peter,” as Guss was lovingly called, was a former employee of Bell Flying Services in Des Arc for more than 35 years before ill health forced him to retire in 2006. He was also self-employed as a freelance Auto Mechanic.
His parents, a brother Lester Williams, a sister Virginia Wilson, his father in law Hosie Burnett all preceded Guss in death.
Survivors are: his wife of 32 years, Carolyn Burnett-Williams of Jacksonville, AR; two sons: Anthony (Tashenia) Burnett of Jacksonville, AR; and Lynn Fuller of Jacksonville, AR; three daughters: LaTasha Fuller and Shannon Tensley both of Jacksonville, AR; and Tonia Fuller of North Little Rock, AR; three brothers: Herman Ford of Carlisle, AR; O.C. Williams of North Little Rock, AR and Thornell (Linda) Williams of Des Arc, AR; seven sisters: Ezetta (Earnest) Harper, Justine Thomas, Barbara (James) Tom and Lisa Jackson all of Carlisle, AR; Dorothy Scruggs and Clo (Leland, Sr.) Robinson both of Des Arc, AR; and Maud (Dana) Hood of Lonoke, AR; his mother in law Carrie Burnett of Carlisle, AR; twelve grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
