JoAnn Roddy McFee, 77 of Little Rock, formerly of Cotton Plant, died Monday January 23 at St. Vincent Infirmary Medical Center in Little Rock.
JoAnn was born May 3, 1939 in Cotton Plant, Arkansas to Ambrose “Buddy Man” Roddy and Ella Lee “Precious” Knox. She was the widow of John McFee.
JoAnn was raised in Cotton Plant and attended Cotton Plant Public School System. She was a 1959 graduate of Cotton Plant Vocational High School.
JoAnn was a member of New Zion Grove Missionary Baptist Church in North Little Rock, where she served as a member of the choir, former member of the Usher board, member of the Missionary Society and the church Mother board for more than 33 years.
JoAnn was a longtime employee of Remington Arms Ammunition Manufacturing Company in Lonoke, where she retired in 2005 after 33 years of employment. She worked as a Bullet Inspector.
He parents, her husband John McFee; two brothers: Robert Roddy and Otis Roddy; two sisters: Verna Buchanan and Delitha Stovall all preceded JoAnn in death.
Survivors are: a daughter Jackie Simpson of Little Rock, AR; a brother Theopolis (Sandra) Roddy of Seattle, WA; six sisters: Erma Culberson and Jeanie Wells both of St. Louis, MO; Betty Abernathy of Saginaw, MI; Leslie Taylor of Atlanta, GA; Dorothy Neal and Ann (Tyrone) Winters both of Little Rock, AR; a grandson, four great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
