Dashon Remon Tucker Sr., 42 of Dardanelle, formerly of Brinkley, died Monday evening, March 27 at St. Vincent Infirmary Medical Center (Cornerstone Hospital) in Little Rock.

Dashon was born January 25, 1975 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Clem Tucker Jr. and Maggie Franklin Tucker.

Dashon was raised in Brinkley and attended the Brinkley Public School System. While attending high school, he enjoyed being a part of the Brinkley Tigers Football Team. He was as 1993 graduate of Brinkley High School.

Dashon was a member of Unity Missionary Baptist Church (formerly, St. John Baptist Church) in Dardanelle for more than 13 years.

Dashon moved to Dardanelle, Arkansas in the 1995 and worked as a Truck Driver for many years. He had been an employee of Tucker Trucking in Dardanelle for the past 3 years.

“Big D” or “Big Tuck” as Dashon was affectionately known, was a big guy with an incredibly big heart for helping people. He would go out of his way to help anyone who need it. He loved people, especially his family.

His father, a brother Earl Tucker Sr., his nephew James Woods Sr., all preceded Dashon in death.

Survivors are three sons: Dashon Tucker Jr. of West Memphis, AR; Breyon Tucker of Little Rock, AR; and Josiah Tucker of Dardanelle, AR; a daughter Kadezsha Tucker of Conway, AR; his mother Maggie Tucker-Parks of Dardanelle, AR; three brothers: Clem (Diana) Tucker III and Timothy (Tina) Tucker both of Dardanelle, AR; and Cameron Tucker of Brinkley, AR; seven sisters: Linda (Waymon) Woods of Magnolia, AR; Yvonne (Bobby) Chaten of Little Rock, AR; Diana (S.T.) Watson and Lenora (Albert) Triggs both of Brinkley, AR; Ronda Chaten and Amanda Tucker both of Dardanelle, AR; and Antonia (Cory) Thompson of Saginaw, TX; a sister in law Sonya Tucker of Little Rock, AR; and a host of other relatives and friends.
