Travis Hunter, 69 of Holly Grove, died Wednesday at his home.
Travis was born June 19, 1947 in Turner, Arkansas to Robert Hunter and Elizabeth Thomas Hunter.
Travis was a lifelong member of Branch Baptist Church in Turner.
Travis was a former employee of Riceland Foods of Stuttgart, Arkansas for more than 35 years before retiring.
“Travo” as Travis was lovingly known, loved baseball. He played the game a lot in his early years. He had a great loved and appreciation for older model cars and trucks.
His parents, and his sister Jacqueline Hunter Mitchum preceded Travis in death.
Survivors are: his companion Hazel Hampton of Holly Grove, AR; six sons: Carlos Hunter, Cedric Hampton, Timothy Hampton and Jarius Hampton all of Holly Grove, AR; Lee Anthony Hunter of Stuttgart, AR; and Terrence Hampton of Little Rock, AR; three daughters: Denise Cartwright of Clarendon, AR; Dawn Starr of Roe, AR; Kimberly Isby of Brinkley, AR; a brother Windell Hunter of Eldorado, AR; two sisters: Gloria Hunter of Holly Grove, AR; and Verlene Green of Marvell, AR; sixteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
