Frances Lowery, 88 of Searcy, formerly of Earle, died Friday December 16 at White County Medical Center in Searcy.
Frances was born June 4, 1928 in Butler, Alabama to Frank Moss and Pearlie Thompson-Moss.
Frances was raised in Butler and attended the Butler Public School System. She later relocated to Chicago, Illinois where she lived and worked for many years.
Frances was a former employee of Sears Corporation in Chicago, before retiring.
Frances met Fred Lowery in the early 1960’s and the two were married on February 10, 1965.
Frances and Freddie relocated to Earle, Arkansas after retiring from their jobs in the 1980’s.
After relocating to Earle, Frances enjoyed attending local churches. Although she didn’t have a permanent church home, she did however enjoy attended several local churches in her community in order to serve the Lord.
Frances enjoyed a nice quiet life. She also enjoyed attending church and worshipping the Lord, reading her bible, walking 3 to 5 miles daily for exercise and watching her favorite TV shows.
Survivors are: her brother Jimmy Wilcox of Butler, AL; four brothers in law: Calvin Ware of Chicago, Ill; Danny Ware and Carlin Ware both of Memphis, TN; and Jerry Ware of Troy, AL; five sisters in law: Mozella Rainey, Nancy Henderson, Luvenia Rodgers all of Memphis, TN; and Carolyn Bowen and Mary Dale Bowen both of Chicago, Ill; and a host of other relatives and friends survive her.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 23 at 1 PM at St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church, 4404 West Highway 118 in Joiner with Reverend Waldo Campbell officiating. Internment will take place at St. Mark Cemetery.
